Pharmacist – Rare Disease Specialty Pharmacy

In this role, you’ll not only dispense life-changing medications but will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver personalized pharmaceutical services, providing expert advice on drug therapy, toxicity, and side effects to ensure safe, effective patient care.
- Oversee prescription data entry, verification, and order accuracy with a meticulous approach.
- Coordinate and guide pharmacy technicians in medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing, overseeing their work and ensuring accuracy.
- Uphold federal, state, and local regulatory standards for safe medication practices.
- Conduct medication reviews, assess patient compliance, and educate patients and families on their unique therapy plans.
What You Bring:
- Pharm.D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current Illinois licensure; multi-state licensure a plus.
- 2+ years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, ideally in home infusion or specialty pharmacy.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A passion for advancing the field of specialty pharmacy and making a tangible difference in patient lives.
