PharmacistLocation: Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center, 100 Lake Traverse Drive, Sisseton, SD 57262Schedule: Typically MondayFriday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM; Weekend shifts 12:00 PM5:00 PM; up to 40 hours/week$100 - $110 an hourPosition Overview: Akicita Federal is seeking qualified, licensed Pharmacists to provide comprehensive outpatient pharmacy services under a federal contract at WWKMHCC, an Indian Health Service facility. This is a non-personal services contract supporting the delivery of pharmaceutical care to a rural tribal population.Responsibilities:Process and verify prescriptions using the Electronic Health Record (EHR)Provide direct patient counseling and document interactions in EHRReview prescriptions for appropriateness, allergies, and drug interactionsMaintain compliance with WWKMHCC formulary and non-formulary proceduresProvide consultation and substitution recommendations to prescribersMaintain accurate records of controlled substances and compliance logsParticipate in multidisciplinary meetings and committees (e.g., P&T, QA)Engage in continuous quality improvement, including peer reviewsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy regulationsServe as the sole pharmacist when necessary; perform delegated supervisory dutiesQualifications:Degree from an accredited School of PharmacyActive, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territoryMinimum of 2 years of experience in the past 3 years as a practicing pharmacistCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationExperience with EHR systems and strong computer literacyMust pass federal and state background investigations and fingerprintingStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in culturally sensitive environmentsCompensation & Benefits:All-Inclusive Hourly Rate: Covers base pay, travel, lodging, per diem, fringe benefits, and taxesWork Schedule: Up to 40 hours/week with potential weekend/holiday shiftsClearance & Onboarding:Candidates must pass a full background check (T2S) and fingerprinting before startingOrientation and EHR access provided upon clearanceNo contact with patients until background check is fully adjudicated
