Scheduling Availability Sunday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Job Purpose and Summary As a Pharmacy Technician in a retail location, you will support the pharmacy team to deliver operational and service excellence. You will be the first point of contact for patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing exceptional service that exceeds expectations. Key Responsibilities Follow company SOPs at each workstation and improve patient health initiatives. Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off stations. Demonstrate empathy and genuine care, create personalized moments with patients, offer immunizations, and resolve or elevate patient problems. Perform inventory activities such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and waiting bin inventories. Contribute to team performance with a growth mindset and receptiveness to feedback. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to other stores. Comply with all federal, state, local laws, and CVS policies related to controlled substances and patient privacy. Provide additional patient health services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) when licensed and trained. Immunization Responsibilities (if applicable) Obtain Technician Immunizer status through state licensing and required training. Educate patients on vaccine importance and refer complex questions to the on‑duty pharmacist. Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report per public health requirements. Collect, track, and document patient information for each vaccination. Manage vaccine supplies. Required Qualifications Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements regarding age, education, and licensure. Minimum age 16 (if not specified by state) and high school diploma or equivalent (or active enrollment). State‑level licensure and national certification as required by the state. Essential Functions Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within the designated timeframe. Maintain focus, concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, and ensure prescription accuracy. Provide customer service and team orientation; look for ways to help people friendly. Use verbal and written communication; active listening; avoid interruptions. Apply mathematical reasoning for dosage calculations and inventory. Resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions. Meet physical demands: standing, lifting, reaching, repetitive finger use, and occasional lifts up to 20 lbs. Perform additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager. Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience. Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Willingness to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs. Anticipated Weekly Hours 20 hours Time Type Part time Pay Range $16.00 – $24.00 per hour Benefits Eligible for a range of benefits including dental, vision, wellness resources, employee discounts, and other programs based on hours worked and eligibility.
