Summary: The Pharmacy Technician supports the organization's mission by providing front-line customer support, handling inbound inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of information within the National Customer Care Center. This role involves assisting members with pharmacy benefit inquiries, educating prescribers, and entering data into documentation tools while adhering to established productivity and quality standards.

Position Info:

  • Title: Pharmacy Technician I
  • Client: AmeriHealth Caritas
  • Duration: 3 Months
  • Location: 200 Stevens Drive, Philadelphia PA 19113
  • Work Mode: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time support to pharmacies with point-of-service inquiries.
  • Educate prescribers on formulary and prior authorization processes.
  • Enter customer data into documentation tools and assist with pharmacy benefit inquiries.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and efficient contact handling.
  • Effectively communicate resolutions to customers and internal staff.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of recent experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) or pharmacy.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, NCCT, or ExCpt) preferred.
  • Strong customer support and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in real-time communication and telephone support.
