Regular, full-time | Schedule: Mon - Fri 7:30am - 3:30pm | Pay: $19.30 start Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position Job Purpose or Objective(s) As the Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in selection and preparation of medications for physician orders, stocking supplies, maintaining a clean work environment, correctly delivering medications, and ensuring medication barcodes are scanned correctly. You will report to the Director. Primary Tasks Order, verify receipt of, and store pharmaceuticals and supplies using generic, brand names and warehouse index numbers. Check incoming stock orders, complete receiving reports, ascertain damage, overage or shortage and complete reports. Assist pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel. Perform monthly inspections of clinic care areas to check for outdated pharmaceuticals, proper storage conditions and appropriate stock levels. Inventory control tasks including monitoring, pricing, dating, invoicing, stocking, and preparation of purchase orders. Maintain supplies of working stock in the outpatient pharmacy to complete requisitions. Rotate stock in pharmacy and on nursing units to assure maximum usage of dated stock. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
