Pharmacy Technicians deliver compassionate care at our pharmacies, supporting patients with prescription medications and chronic conditions. The Pharmacy Technician role requires managing pharmacy workstations, ensuring all prescriptions are accurately filled while providing caring and customer‑focused service. Key Responsibilities Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team, ensuring safe and accurate prescription filling. Use appropriate medication dispensing equipment and adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with Pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to address medication issues, including drug interactions and dosage accuracy. Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and ensuring a positive pharmacy experience. Assist in inventory management, including restocking, labeling, and verifying medication expiration dates. Complete the required CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and meet all licensing and certification requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical conduct at all times. Required Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age. Licensure requirements vary by state. Attention and focus: ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without distraction. Customer Service Orientation: actively look for ways to help people, respond appropriately to customer cues, and provide friendly assistance. Communication Skills: use verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues, actively listening, asking questions when appropriate, and not interrupting. Mathematical Reasoning: ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating a prescription’s day’s supply. Problem Resolution: judge when something is wrong or likely to go wrong; recognize problems and choose the best course of action among several options. Physical Demands Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly between work areas. Operating primarily with fingers (picking, pinching, typing) rather than whole arm or hand. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist. Stooping to a considerable degree, requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles. Expressing and exchanging ideas via spoken word; understanding spoken instructions accurately. Perceiving sound at normal speaking levels, with or without correction, and receiving detailed oral information. Visual acuity: close visual acuity required for tasks such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs; exerting up to 30 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently, with negligible force constantly to move objects. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician. PTCB National Certification. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent – preferred but not required. Anticipated Weekly Hours 35 hours per week. Time Type Full time. Pay Range Typical pay range: $16.50 – $25.00 per hour.
