As a Technician you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians are often the first point of contact to assist our patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing caring service that exceeds expectations. They apply SOPs, best practices, and effective communication, promoting a safe and inclusive culture. Responsibilities Follow all company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation. Deliver positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, including immunizations and other services. Complete basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts, returns, bin inventories, etc. Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical knowledge. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, traveling to stores as required. Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy. Deliver additional patient health‑care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) where permissible. Immunization Responsibilities Complete additional licensure and training to become an Immunizer. Educate patients about vaccines and refer to the on‑duty Pharmacist for questions. Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements. Review patient information, track, and document each applicable patient. Monitor and manage vaccine supplies. Required Qualifications Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements including age, education, licensure/certification. State‑level licensure and national certification requirements (details per state). Essential Functions Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within designated timeframe. Attention and Focus Concentrate on tasks over a period of time. Pivot quickly from one task to another. Confirm prescription info and label accuracy. Customer Service and Team Orientation Look for ways to help people friendly. Notice and understand patients’ reactions, respond appropriately. Communication Skills Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact. Utilize active listening. Mathematical Reasoning Use math to solve problems such as determining dosage and supply. Problem Resolution Identify challenging interactions and choose best course of action. Physical Demands Be mobile, lift, scan, bag, reach, and move items regularly. Perform repetitive finger work and precise machine adjustments. Handle items up to 20 lbs regularly; lift up to 10 lbs frequently. Communicate verbally with detail. Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager. Preferred Qualifications 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting. Ability to work in home store and across the market to meet business needs. Anticipated Weekly Hours 20 Time Type Part time Pay Range $19.00 - $29.00 This range represents the base hourly rate for all positions in the job grade. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
