Growing together.The full-time Pharmacy Technician will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.Pharmacy Location: Located within Pulaski Memorial Hospital, 616 E 13th St, Winamac, IN 46996Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 12:00pmYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentActive Indiana state Pharmacy Technician license in good standingRecent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital, outpatient, or retail settingProficiency with pharmacy softwareProven excellent customer service skills including effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated ability to prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacistDemonstrated ability to process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systemsDemonstrated ability to assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiencyDemonstrated ability to prepare and compound medications (including IV admixtures and sterile products) following hospital protocols and USP standardsDemonstrated ability to process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgencyDemonstrated ability to deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing unitsDemonstrated ability to maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration datesDemonstrated ability to support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentationDemonstrated ability to collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication deliveryDemonstrated ability to comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulationsPreferred Qualification:PTCB/CPhTPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
