Welcome to Yoakum Community Hospital! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Phlebotomist to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. At Yoakum Community Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services with compassion and superior service to our community.

In this role, you will perform venipunctures and collect blood specimens from patients for analysis and other medical purposes. You will verify patient records and identities, ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection. Additionally, you will communicate with patients in an engaging and empathetic manner to alleviate any concerns or fears about the phlebotomy procedure.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must be proficient in collecting specimens from all age ranges, from newborns to geriatric patients. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare team and delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy Certification
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in collecting specimens from all age ranges
• Ability to work on a PRN (as needed) basis
