As a Phlebotomist at Empro Staffing, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing blood draws, handling specimens, and ensuring that samples are collected and processed correctly. Your attention to detail and compassionate approach will contribute to both the accuracy of lab results and providing a positive experience for patients. If you are a certified phlebotomist with a passion for the healthcare field and patient wellbeing, we invite you to apply.

Hourly Rate: $23

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm) and occasional weekends

Pay Period: Sunday to Saturday

Pay Schedule: Weekly, Every Thursday via Direct Deposit

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipunctures and capillary draws for blood collection while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate anxiety.
  • Label and process blood samples accurately, ensuring compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work environment, following infection control guidelines.
  • Assist with data entry for patient records and laboratory information systems.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices in phlebotomy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Phlebotomy training program.
  • Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, NHA).
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, especially in blood collection.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centric approach.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to protocols is critical to maintaining sample integrity.
