Physical Education Teacher Apply
Position Overview:
Liberation Academy, is seeking an energetic and dedicated Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will develop and implement a physical education program that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits among students. This educator will inspire students to set personal fitness goals and contribute to their overall social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Curriculum Development: Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons aligned with Georgia state standards and the school's mission.
- Instructional Excellence: Utilize various instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Skill Development: Teach fundamental physical skills, sportsmanship, and the importance of physical activity.
- Student Assessment: Monitor, evaluate, and report on student performance and progress in physical fitness and skill development.
- Classroom Management: Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inventory P.E. equipment and materials to ensure safe and effective usage.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in physical education by participating in training and professional learning opportunities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A passion for being a part of a team-oriented, mission-driven school culture
- Pass Criminal Background Check
- Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of teaching experience
- Demonstrated ability to raise achievement
- Experience working in underserved/low-income communities
Benefits
Compensation:
Liberation Academy offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary ranges from $53,770 to $98,169. This includes medical coverage, dental coverage, and 401K.
