Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SOC personnel to develop and document physical security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for our Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is essential to ensuring consistent and effective responses to security incidents, monitoring protocols, and adherence to established physical security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop Physical Security SOPs

   • Draft clear, actionable SOPs for SOC personnel to guide daily security operations, including:
     • Camera Monitoring (Virtual Patrols): Create SOPs for remote monitoring, identifying suspicious activity, and reporting protocols.
     • Alarm Response Protocols: Define steps for responding to security alarms, prioritization of alerts, and escalation procedures.
     • Incident Response: Develop procedures for responding to and documenting security incidents, managing response teams, and maintaining situational awareness.
     • ID Badge Processing: Outline processes for issuing, deactivating, and verifying access badges, along with visitor identification checks.
     • Ticket Processing for Physical Security Issues: Design workflows for managing, tracking, and resolving physical security tickets efficiently.

2. Establish Physical Security Standards

   • Create and maintain standards documentation for key physical security components, including:
     • Camera Placement and Specifications - Identify optimal positioning, coverage areas, and technical requirements for surveillance cameras.
     • Intrusion Alarms - Define standard specifications, sensitivity, and integration for intrusion detection systems.
     • Card Access Systems - Set access control protocols, badge requirements, and reader standards.
     • Fencing, Gates, and Bollards - Develop guidelines for perimeter security elements, ensuring controlled entry and enhanced physical protection.
     • Clear Zones and Lighting - Specify lighting and clear zones to optimize visibility and deter unauthorized access.
     • Key Control Protocols - Document processes for secure key management, access logging, and periodic audits.

3. Collaboration and Review

   • Work closely with security operations managers, technical teams, and compliance officers to ensure SOPs meet organizational and regulatory standards.
   • Periodically review and update SOPs to align with emerging security threats, technology updates, and organizational changes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in physical security, SOC operations, or SOP documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and familiarity with security systems.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear and concise documentation.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in security technology and tools such as video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of physical security best practices, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
