Position Title: Summer School Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Lake County, IL


Position Overview

A school district in the Grayslake, Illinois area is seeking several Physical Therapists (PTs) to support students during the summer school session. This is a part-time, school-based opportunity working with students from early childhood through 12th grade. Caseload assignments will be determined during the interview process and are expected to be manageable.


Assignment Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday
  • Regular Hours: 8:15 AM – 12:15 PM Approximately 16 hours per week

Extended Hours: First and last day of the program will run from 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM

  • Setting: On-site school environment
  • Caseload: Low caseload; specific assignment determined upon interview
  • Student Population: Early Childhood through 12th Grade


Compensation & Employment

  • Pay Rate: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour (W-2), based on experience


Responsibilities

  • Provide school-based physical therapy services in alignment with student IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and document services in accordance with district and state requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student mobility and functional access
  • Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to improve student participation in academic and school activities


Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Physical Therapist license required
  • Prior pediatric or school-based experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills


This is an excellent short-term opportunity for Physical Therapists seeking part-time summer hours in a supportive educational setting.
