Physical Therapist (PT) OpportunityClark Fork Valley Hospital is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team in Thompson Falls. This position is responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering physical therapy treatments prescribed by a physician, with the goal of restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing disability in patients suffering from physical impairments or conditions affecting muscles, nerves, joints, and bones.Responsibilities include:Reviewing physician's referral and patient's condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.Testing and measuring patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and recording findings to develop or revise treatment programs.Planning and preparing written treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data.Administering manual exercises to improve and maintain function.Instructing, motivating, and assisting patients to perform various physical activities and use of assistive and supportive devices.Administering treatments involving application of physical agents and use of aquatic therapy as appropriate.Evaluating effects of treatment and adjusting treatments to achieve maximum benefit.Administering myofascial mobilization, lymph mobilization, and traction to relieve pain.Recording treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or entering information into computer.Instructing patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home.Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommending modifications to Orthotist.Conferring with physicians and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient's health care.Orienting, instructing, and directing work activities of assistants, aides, and students.Planning and conducting lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics.Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program, current Montana Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure), good physical and mental health, ability to demonstrate and promote wellness practices, must maintain required CEUs per Montana APTA guidelines, broad clinical knowledge, willingness to work with a diverse patient population, strong communication, evaluation, and documentation skills, team-oriented and patient-centered mindset.Benefits: This position is eligible for our full-time benefits package.Why Clark Fork Valley Hospital: Clark Fork Valley Hospital is a great place to work, we truly live our mission of Quality Care Close to Home.
