A third-party partner is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (Full-Time) in Alamosa, CO. This role offers a salary range of $49,440 to $75,970 per year (based on full-time employment and maximum productivity, paid per visit).

This position provides opportunities to build trusted therapist-patient relationships, access to continuing education and tuition reimbursement, career growth, and professional autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education to enhance the patient’s well-being, following the established plan of care.
  • Adhere to state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and follow treatment plans as defined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional activities, ADL (Activities of Daily Living), transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
  • Observe, record, and report the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist, nurse supervisor, and/or physician.
  • Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as needed.
  • Provide instruction to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members on therapy-related topics within the scope of the Physical Therapy Assistant role.

Requirements

  • Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Colorado.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
