Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our busy, patient-focused private orthopedic practice. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinic and surgical responsibilities, working closely with our orthopedic surgeons to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal care.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside a talented and collaborative orthopedic surgeon
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic conditions in a clinical setting
- Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room
- Perform procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, splinting, and casting
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient care and follow-ups
- Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Provide patient education regarding conditions, treatments, and recovery plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Prescribes and administers medications under the supervision of the physician(s) and in accordance with regulations of the State Medical Board/Regulatory agency for PA’s.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current state licensure and certification (PA-C or NP)
- Orthopedic experience preferred; surgical experience a plus
- Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday, with clinic and OR days
- Limited Call Coverage
