Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our busy, patient-focused private orthopedic practice. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinic and surgical responsibilities, working closely with our orthopedic surgeons to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside a talented and collaborative orthopedic surgeon
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with orthopedic conditions in a clinical setting
  • Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room
  • Perform procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, splinting, and casting
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient care and follow-ups
  • Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Provide patient education regarding conditions, treatments, and recovery plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Prescribes and administers medications under the supervision of the physician(s) and in accordance with regulations of the State Medical Board/Regulatory agency for PA’s.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current state licensure and certification (PA-C or NP)
  • Orthopedic experience preferred; surgical experience a plus
  • Strong clinical decision-making and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, with clinic and OR days
  • Limited Call Coverage
