Job Summary:

Seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) for the Hoffman Estates, IL area who will work under the supervision of a physician to provide a wide range of healthcare services. The PA will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide patient education and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, blood tests, and EKGs.
  • Develop and manage patient treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as needed.
  • Educate patients on preventive healthcare practices and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • State of Illinois licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Internal medicine experience a plus
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Work Environment:

  • Work setting is a physician office
  • Part-time, initially, evolving into full-time as patient base increases
  • May involve standing for long periods and handling stressful situations.
