Location: Seneca Falls, New York

Department: Hospital Medicine

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Hospitalist team. In this role, you will provide high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients across various specialties. This is a daytime position with flexible and rotating 12-hour shifts, offering a desirable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the attending physician.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Perform procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, and basic suturing.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and therapists.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and valid NYS Physician Assistant License.
  • Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Experience in Hospital Medicine preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for providing high-quality patient care.
