How you make a difference


The Physicianis responsible forassessing and providing medical care to patients in collaboration with the Nurse Manager- Health Services & PI andARNPs, andensuring the smooth flow of consultations and referrals between medical staff.This position also includes on-call responsibilities for the provision of medical care outside of regular business hours.The physician must ensuretimelyandaccuratedocumentation of all assessments and treatment decisions.


Key Responsibilities


  • Performs physical exams, orders diagnostictestsandprovidesmedical treatments to patients throughout their hospital stay, including after-hours on-call coverage.




  • Coordinates with other medical staff to ensureaccurateand thorough documentation of allassessments andprovidesclinical oversight of ARNPs.




  • Makes referrals for tests and consultations,monitorsongoing care of medical conditions, andprovideseducation on medical diagnoses to patients and their families.




  • Collaborates effectively with staff from other disciplines and is knowledgeable about the care and treatment needs of patients of different ages.




  • Adheres tocompanyCode of Conduct Standards and understands andcomplies withspecial precautions, disaster and fire safety procedures, and abuse reporting.




Qualifications & Requirements


Education



  • Medical doctorate (MD) from an accredited university.


Experience



  • Two (2) years post residency clinical experience in an inpatient setting, psychiatric experience referred.


Licenses/Certifications


  • Licensed in the state of employment.




  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications.




  • Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine.
