Compensation $18.00 - $21.00/hour Job Overview Complete Development Inc. is currently hiring skilled Pipe Layers to join our dynamic underground utility team. As a Pipe Layer, you'll play a critical role in laying and connecting stormwater, sewer, and water piping systems for residential and commercial projects. Your work will directly contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of infrastructure across Central Florida. If you're experienced in underground utilities and are ready to work with precision and purpose, we want to hear from you. With deep roots in the region and a reputation for integrity and quality, we specialize in earthwork, grading, land clearing, and underground utilities. Guided by Christian principles and a commitment to our team, we deliver on our promise of dependable service and honest work. Responsibilities Lay and connect pipes for storm sewers, sanitary systems, drains, and water mains. Dig trenches to correct depths and slopes, grading and leveling trench bases. Align and position pipes for sealing or welding, securing with clamps, couplings, bolts, or cement. Seal pipe joints using cement, glue, or welding tools and equipment. Work with various pipe materials including PVC, metal, and concrete. Operate excavation and trenching machinery such as backhoes and trenchers. Interpret blueprints and follow layout plans for pipe routes. Adhere to safety standards and Blue Stake utility guidelines to prevent utility strikes. Use lasers, levels, and slope instruments to confirm proper pipe alignment and grade. Drill and tap pipes for auxiliary line installation or devices. Backfill trenches and cover installed pipes with soil or aggregate. Locate existing utilities using magnetic or radio indicators. Perform other construction tasks as needed to support project goals. Qualifications Prior experience in underground utility pipe laying is required. Familiarity with trench safety, utility identification, and layout procedures. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans. Experience operating excavation and trenching equipment. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check and pre‑employment drug screening. Commitment to jobsite safety and teamwork. 401(k) with employer match Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off Retirement Plan Referral Program Candidates with longer commutes may be eligible for travel assistance, subject to negotiation.
