Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our underground utilities division. The ideal candidate will have experience installing water, sewer, and storm drainage systems , working safely and efficiently under the direction of a Foreman. Responsibilities Install underground pipe systems (water, sewer, storm drain) according to plans and specifications. Grade and prepare trenches for pipe installation. Set up and operate lasers and grade equipment to maintain line and grade accuracy. Connect pipe using appropriate couplings, gaskets, or sealing methods. Backfill, compact, and restore trenches to proper grades and standards. Assist with rigging, pipe handling, and trench safety measures. Check slopes, alignments, and elevations to ensure proper installation. Maintain a clean and safe job site and follow all company and OSHA safety standards. Work closely with operators, laborers, and foremen to complete daily production goals. Qualifications Minimum 1–3 years of experience installing underground utilities (water, sewer, storm). Knowledge of grades, slopes, and trench safety requirements. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and utility layouts. Proficient with hand tools, pipe lasers, and levels. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with FDOT or municipal utility projects . Familiarity with PVC, RCP, and DIP materials. OSHA 10 Certification.
