Overview This District has an immediate opening for an experienced Planning Engineer. This position offers stability in a positive work environment. The Planning Engineer directs and plans all planning functions related to District facilities and provision of water and sewer services for new and existing District customers, and water/sewer improvement requirements. Responsibilities This role is responsible for the District’s services and programs which include capital planning, demand and capacity modeling, new water and sewer service inquiries and cost estimating using an in-house frontcounter tool, service area boundary adjustments (annexations), and the issuance of water and sewer certificates of availability. This position oversees the assessment and analysis of costs and requirements for securing water and/or sewer service and collaborates with property owners to establish new projects through Utility Local Improvement Districts (ULIDs) and Developer Extension Agreements (DEAs). Work Hours & Remote Work This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday–Friday; extended hours periodically during meetings, emergencies, or as workload requires. After orientation, the District allows for remote work up to 2 days a week.
