Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat, and more.Essential Functions:Ensure the production schedule is supported through the efficient creation of purchase orders that meet the demands as dictated by the MRP system or purchase requisitions.Develop/execute ordering strategies as well as inventory/safety stock levels to support the production schedule in an efficient manner.Growing and enhancing supplier relationships.Set up and maintain all raw material deliveries (schedules).Manage cycle counting program including explanation of variances.Assist in periodic and scheduled audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data.Manage contracts and quality assurance issues.Ensure effective communication within the department and with all company functions.Analyze, correct, and enter daily data collection systems as needed for department.Maintain accurate files.Backup team members as needed.Various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products.Education and Experience:Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAssociates degree with emphasis on business and two years of procurement experienceExperience may be substituted for educationBasic understanding of general accounting and financeSAP knowledge a plusExcellent math skillsAdvanced computer knowledge (word processing, Excel spreadsheets, report building)Strong attention to detail, ability to quickly identify issues and resolve and ensure a high level of accuracy in all functions within your jobAbility to adapt to changing organizational and operational needsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well with peoplePhysical Requirements:Standing: occasionallySitting: most of the day (a minimum of 5 hours)Walking: constantlyBending: occasionallyLifting: moderate (30 50 lbs) infrequentlyCarrying: moderate (30 50 lbs) infrequently, distance 100 ftPushing/pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance infrequentlyAbility to climb: infrequently (less than 10 x per hour)Ability to work with arms outstretched to the frontAbility to move hands and wrists repetitivelyExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.$53,200 - $60,200 USDHP Hood is an equal opportunity employer.
