Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

As our facility grows, we are looking for an individual to direct, coordinate and administer engineering and project management functions to improve or maintain the physical structures, equipment, utilities and facilities. Individual may work on projects at our Chilton WI or our Manitowoc WI facilities.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Plan major projects, develop cost estimates, obtain quotes, prepare capital expenditure requests and participate in capital budgeting processes.
  • Develop FEL (front end loading) design and planning documents, to assure project schedule, cost and performance criteria are met.
  • Support the development of preventative and predictive maintenance programs, critical spares analysis, and other reliability efforts, as part of an overall emphasis on reduced down time in the plants.
  • Evaluate existing equipment and process technology and systematically upgrade capabilities to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production requirements.
  • Evaluate and support utility system operation through regular inspection and preventative maintenance.
  • Support or supervise contractor work activities as needed.
  • Lead or support improvements in process controls systems (SCADA) to meet operational objectives.
  • Develop and/or coordinate and maintain technical documentation, including P+IDs, PFDs, construction drawings, functional descriptions, etc. pertinent to project work and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, local building codes and safe work practices and model safety compliance and behaviors in the workplace.
  • Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations, practices and procedures, to support compliance and fulfill requirements for EPA and Wi DNR.
  • Provide other engineering and technical support as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in an engineering discipline and 5-7 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Engineering discipline may be Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical.
  • Must have previous project management experience. 
  • Experience in plant reliability, Lean / Continuous improvement, AutoCAD or similar software is preferred.
