Plant and Facilities EngineerOur client is currently seeking a Plant and Facilities Engineer to join their Facilities and Maintenance team at their site in Chippenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to play a key role in maintaining plant infrastructure, supporting production operations, and contributing to equipment installation and improvement projects.The successful candidate will report directly to the Facilities Supervisor and will be responsible for maintaining both electrical and mechanical systems across the site.Key Responsibilities·Install, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of electrical systems including pumps, motors, fixed wiring, distribution boards, actuators, inverters, and other industrial equipment·Work with mechanical and building service systems including plastic and metal pipework, air handling units (AHUs), LEV systems, and domestic services·Support and maintain high-powered furnaces and associated control systems·Monitor and interact with the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure efficient operation of plant and facilities·Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing of plant equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines·Assist with the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and facility upgrades·Perform general building services maintenance and day-to-day facilities tasks·Provide maintenance and engineering support to internal departments when required·Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded within the maintenance management system·Follow all Health & Safety procedures and site safety management systemsCandidate Requirements·18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification·HNC (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline·Minimum 2 years’ experience in facilities engineering, electrical maintenance, or a similar industrial environment·An electrical or electronic apprenticeship would be advantageous·Experience working with pumps, motors, pipework, air handling units, BMS systems, furnaces, actuators, and inverters·Strong understanding of industrial electrical installations and plant maintenance·Experience with mechanical services installation and maintenance would be beneficial·A self-motivated individual with a flexible approach to engineering tasks·Strong team player with the ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively·A commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high engineering standardsWorking Hours·Day shift role·Optional late shifts available, paid at a premium rate
