Plant Cost Management Analyst Apply
Weather Shield, now a part of the Pella Family of Brands, is seeking Plant Cost Management Analyst for the Park Falls plant. This is a full-time onsite position that will be responsible for all manufacturing accounting functions for the Park Falls plant. This role will work with the Weather Shield Finance team and plant leadership team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience. Supports plant management.Monitors month-end Cycle Counts for inventoryMaintains Year-End files for Inventory, accompanies Auditor during Perpetual and Non-Perpetual Audits.Monitors non-perpetual inventory for changes to month end quantities, determinations on changing to perpetual status.Monitor inventory to determine if/when Obsolete status changes or IDR’s (Inventory Disposal Requests) are needed.Compiles and maintains daily production records at both the plant and corporate level KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Technical skills in accounting and accepted accounting principles. The position also requires good interpersonal skills and verbal communications to effectively communicate with co-workers, Auditors, vendors, and customers. JD Edwards and MS Excel knowledgeProduct knowledge a plus for completing IDR’s and SPR’s (special product request) QualificationsEDUCATION: A four-year degree in accounting is preferred. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years of previous manufacturing experience in cost accounting is preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS: The position requires exceptional computer and calculator skills. JDEdwards and AS400 systems are preferred. Must be proficient in MS Excel. Experience in designing and maintaining software systems is helpful. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, keyboards, or keypads. The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and to reach with hands and arms. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move boxes or products of 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this includes close vision. Job duties will require the employee to walk out onto the shop floor on a regular basis, including navigating stairs.
