Position Objective:


Provide full leadership and accountability for all plant operations, including Receiving, Sanitation, Quality, Packaging, Extrusion, Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Scheduling, Safety, Food Safety, Budgeting, Office Administration, SQF compliance, and FSMA requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Execute strategic objectives set by senior leadership.
  • Develop, manage, and control plant budgets.
  • Assess labor needs and optimize staffing levels.
  • Drive operational efficiency and productivity across all departments.
  • Oversee and administer employee incentive and bonus programs.
  • Direct all day-to-day plant operations.
  • Ensure completion of all required company training programs.
  • Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide regular operational feedback to corporate leadership.
  • Optimize production scheduling to maximize efficiency while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure all products meet company specifications, policies, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align plant performance with organizational goals.
  • Obtain and maintain PCQI certification.
  • Enforce site-specific food safety systems, including:
  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
  • Pre-requisite programs related to quality and food safety
  • Food defense protocols
  • SQF system requirements
  • Risk-based preventive controls
  • Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies


Qualifications & Experience:


  • Education: BA / BS in science, engineering or business administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing supervision and management, preferably in the food industry.
  • Inspire, lead, motivate, and appreciate team members to work collectively & collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to company goals.
  • Demonstrated personnel leadership with solid management skills. Ability to oversee and lead a large cross functional team is a must. Servant leader.
  • Experience in managing schedules and budget.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment, establishing best practices and operation procedures.
