Maintenance ManagerResponsible for grounds, buildings and building equipment, maintenance, and construction. Oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of machine tools and equipment, electrical, gas, air, and water installations, sewers, and fire sprinklers, operation of building equipment and facilities, plant janitor service, and maintenance of grounds. Works with outside contractors and architects on building construction, as necessary. Plans layout and assigns work to tradesmen in diagnosing and remedying difficult problems; reports on defective equipment, recommends replacement of obsolete or damaged equipment when estimate or repair cost is excessive. Expedites building and machine repairs in construction to avoid production delays. Responsible for purchasing machine maintenance equipment and working with vendors who install, maintain, rebuild and repair a wide variety of production or processing machines and equipment.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
