Covid vaccination required or approved exemption The Jewish HealthCare Center is one of New England’s most respected HealthCare facilities, providing innovative long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, hospice services, home care services, and Alzheimer’s care to the community since 1916. Full time position, 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair. Dismantles machines and equipment in need of repair and installs new or repaired parts. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Repairs and maintains physical structure. Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems. Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Prepares rooms/areas for functions. Sets up tables and chairs, etc., as requested. Requests supplies, tools, and equipment as necessary to perform duties. Maintains facility preventative maintenance program. Participate in and attend in-services, meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required. Participate in continuous quality improvement program of the department and the facility. Assist in maintenance of safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Participate in drills. Respect the patient’s/resident’s rights to privacy and confidentiality. Be a resident advocate. Have a positive attitude. Be flexible in work schedule to meet department needs. Meet attendance standards. Support and adhere to the policies, procedures and rules of the facility (report to work on time, comply with dress code., etc.) Participate in person-centered care initiatives as appropriate.
