This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to meet targets related to safety, quality, output, and cost
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with workplace safety standards
- Monitor production metrics, including yield, quality, and efficiency, and report on performance
- Drive accountability for employee performance, including attendance, productivity, and safety adherence
- Coordinate training and development initiatives aligned with standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, GMP standards, and operational procedures
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve production challenges such as downtime or staffing gaps
- Ensure smooth shift transitions with clear communication and minimal operational disruption
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional education is an asset
- 2-5 years of leadership experience in foundry or heavy manufacturing environments
- Experience overseeing melting, casting, or mold maintenance operations
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices
- Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and solve operational challenges
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Experience
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S or Lean principles
- Experience working in high-temperature industrial environments
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and cost reductions
- Experience managing multi-shift operations
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a hot, industrial setting
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
- Ability to lift varying weights as required
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
