Job Opportunity: Poultry Processing Plant Operations Leader

Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for leading teams to excellence? Our dynamic poultry processing plant is seeking an Operations Leader who will drive production and quality to the next level. If you’re ready to make a significant impact and foster a positive, high-performing work environment, this is the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Vision: Provide daily leadership and guidance to our production staff, ensuring we meet and exceed production and quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Cultivate a positive, collaborative atmosphere within the team.
  • Financial Stewardship: Develop, manage, and be accountable for the operating and capital budgets. Ensure that all financial targets and operational plans are met, optimizing yield, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee facility operations to achieve high performance in line efficiency, yield, and quality indicators. Implement innovative ideas to enhance product quality and customer reliability.
  • Enhance Workplace Culture: Implement strategies to reduce turnover and improve safety results, striving to make our facility the Employer of Choice. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Develop Talent: Lead initiatives to provide ongoing training and skill development for both supervisors and hourly production associates, maximizing the team's overall performance and growth potential.
  • Champion Company Goals: Align with and promote our company’s goals focusing on People, Products, and Profitability. Ensure all team members understand their roles in contributing to the success of the operation.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Extensive Experience: 8-10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 6 years in poultry processing.
  • Leadership Excellence: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and drive results through effective team management and development.
  • Strategic Problem Solver: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and protocols. Skilled in developing and deploying operational processes and protocols.
  • Exceptional Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: Willingness to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings or company business.
