Searching for a Plant Manager. As the facility's site operations leader, the Plant Manager oversees daily plant operations, encompassing production and manufacturing, while ensuring strict adherence to policies and procedures. This role focuses on devising processes that optimize ownership, stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience in food manufacturing, with USDA experience being advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Food Science, Engineering, or Management. A Master's Degree in Engineering or Management is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management, with a track record of achieving results against a comprehensive set of KPIs.
- Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills are essential.
- Ability to analyze downtime and financial variance trends, identifying actions to achieve expected performance.
Essential Duties:
- Active participation in plant safety programs, fostering a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
- Uphold Quality work practices, adhere to GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and preserve product quality.
- Assume responsibility for Food Safety and Food Quality, identifying and rectifying factors that could negatively impact food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
- Provide comprehensive leadership, direction, and coordination for plant operations.
- Ensure plant personnel comply with plant and corporate procedures, as well as customer and regulatory regulations.
- Coach and develop plant staff to foster effective leadership.
- Oversee the planning and execution of capital projects.
- Develop and implement financial and non-financial objectives.
- Formulate and execute strategies to enhance performance, achieving and surpassing plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and establish operation standards, pinpointing and addressing bottlenecks.
- Enhance production asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs.
