The Plant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing operations of the Hiram, Ohio and Newbury, OH facilities. The Plant Manager will ensure that the production, quality management, and facilities are operating smoothly and efficiently. This role involves resource management and process optimization to achieve operational excellence. The role will partner with Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, HR, and Finance to achieve Luxium Solutions overall goals and objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Drive initiatives that support business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance profitability aligned with the Company's business strategy and values.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team. Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure clear communication across departments and locations.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current operational processes and performance, identifying areas for improvement. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including staffing, budgeting, and equipment. Ensure that resources are used effectively to meet the Company’s operational needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the high standards for product and service quality. Support the quality control processes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that all operational activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for the operations of the Hiram and Newbury facilities and monitor progress. Regularly report on operational performance to the executive team.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget. Monitor expenditures and optimize operational costs without compromising quality or service delivery.

Requirements

The Plant Manager will report to the Operations Director. The Plant Manager will have direct responsibility for Quality Assurance, Production and Manufacturing Engineering (about 120 people) and will partner closely with the support functions that report to functional leaders.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of manufacturing management experience. Experience working a matrix organization with technical high mix low volume products is preferred.
