Job Description:
Seeking an Ex or Retired USDA (FSIS) Inspector to manage daily operations of a USDA-inspected slaughterhouse. This role ensures USDA compliance, food safety, humane handling, and smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead USDA, FSIS, HACCP, and SSOP compliance
- Act as primary liaison with USDA inspectors
- Oversee slaughter, processing, sanitation, and humane handling
- Prevent NRs through proactive compliance
- Train staff on food safety and USDA requirements
- Ensure accurate records and inspection readiness
Requirements:
- Former or Retired USDA FSIS Inspector
- Strong knowledge of USDA regulations & HACCP
- Slaughterhouse or meat processing experience
- Leadership and communication skill.
Preferred:
- HACCP certified
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
