About the Role:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations within the facility to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. This role requires leading cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, implement lean manufacturing principles, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Plant Manager will ensure that production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met or exceeded. They will also manage resource allocation, including workforce, equipment, and materials, to maximize operational efficiency and reduce costs. Ultimately, the Plant Manager will play a critical role in sustaining the plant’s competitive advantage and supporting the company’s strategic growth objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 3 years in a plant management or supervisory role.
  • Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles and process engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding and assembly plant operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and implement cost reduction initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
  • Familiarity with environmental health and safety (EHS) management systems.
  • Previous experience managing a multi-shift manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Oversee process engineering initiatives, including injection molding and assembly plant operations, to optimize throughput and product quality.
  • Develop and manage budgets, focusing on cost reduction strategies without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within the plant.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain to resolve operational issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and employee development programs to enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management to inform decision-making.

Skills:

The Plant Manager will utilize manufacturing operations expertise daily to oversee and optimize production workflows, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Lean manufacturing skills will be applied to identify and eliminate waste, streamline operations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
