Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Operations Leader to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations and drive strategic initiatives that improve performance, productivity, and profitability. This role requires a hands-on leader who can blend big-picture thinking with operational execution, inspiring teams and optimizing resources across production, quality, and supply chain functions.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership: Provide strategic and tactical oversight of plant operations, ensuring production targets, cost objectives, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.Process Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput.Production Planning: Develop and execute production schedules and capacity plans that align with customer demand, resource availability, and budgetary goals.Cost & Performance Management: Monitor operational performance through KPIs and financial metrics, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, enhance output, and improve overall plant profitability.Labor & Resource Optimization: Manage staffing levels, schedules, and labor utilization to ensure a balance between productivity, cost control, and employee well-being.Quality & Compliance: Uphold rigorous quality, safety, and environmental standards. Ensure full compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and customer expectations.Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing operations team by fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain effective vendor relationships, ensure timely material delivery, and support production flow.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).Minimum of 7 years’ experience in manufacturing leadership, including at least 3 years in plant management or a senior operations role.Proven ability to lead operational turnarounds and drive sustainable performance improvements.Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools and methodologies.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, analyzing data, and driving cost efficiencies.Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence and engage teams at all levels.Deep understanding of quality systems, regulatory compliance, and EHS standards in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple competing priorities.
