Plant Operations Supervisor Apply
Position Summary
The Plant Operations Supervisor oversees daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable energy production. This role is responsible for supervising operators, coordinating maintenance activities, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of energy systems with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities-
Supervise, train, and mentor plant operators and technicians to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company policies.

Oversee daily plant operations, including power generation, equipment performance, and process controls.

Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, NERC, etc.).

Monitor and analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime.

Support troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Manage shift scheduling, work orders, and production reports using CMMS or other plant management systems.

Lead emergency response efforts and ensure all staff are properly trained and prepared.

Collaborate with engineering and management teams to drive continuous improvement in plant reliability and efficiency.

Maintain detailed documentation, logs, and reports related to plant operations, safety incidents, and regulatory compliance.

Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Energy Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 5+ years of experience in plant operations, power generation, or industrial manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

Strong knowledge of power generation systems, including turbines, boilers, chillers, or renewable energy systems.

Familiarity with DCS, SCADA, PLC systems, and other automated plant control technologies.

Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge of energy management systems (EMS) or plant optimization software.

Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Certifications: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or equivalent industry certifications.

Understanding of renewable or sustainable energy operations (solar, wind, biomass, etc.).

Work performed in a plant or industrial setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.

May require occasional evening or weekend work to support plant operations or respond to emergencies.
