Join Our Team as a Plastic Fabricator/Welder at Miller Plastic Products! Are you a perfectionist with a keen eye for detail? Do you thrive on building complex, unique projects from detailed blueprints? If so, we want you to join our team as a Plastic Fabricator/Welder. At Miller Plastic Products, our fabricators work on a diverse range of projects, from small enclosures like cabinets or boat-holding tanks to massive 30‑foot‑tall tanks. Each project is different, offering an exciting and dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. This role will allow you to develop and hone your skills in plastic fabrication, working with various types of plastics, each suited to specific applications. Transitioning from Steel Welding? If you’re experienced in steel welding (GMAW/Mig, GTAW/Tig, or SMAW), you’ll find plastic welding to be a natural transition. The skills are similar, but with plastic welding, there’s no risk of eye strain, burns, or unpleasant fumes. It’s also easier on your body, making it an ideal next step for ex‑steel fabricators who have quickly excelled in our team. Background in Carpentry, Construction, or Wood Fabrication? If you have experience in these fields, you’re already equipped with fundamental skills for plastic fabrication. If you can read a tape measure and interpret basic drawings with fractional or decimal measurements, we can train you to weld plastics and build upon your existing skill set. Training: We offer paid training at your onboarding rate to ensure you’re fully prepared for your role. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan layouts and procedures. Set up components for welding according to specifications and drawings. Align components using jigs, clamps, calipers, rulers, and other devices. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to safety protocols. Process job paperwork/job packets. Operate forklifts to transport and move jobs. Cut and assemble components, tack, and weld. Manage and execute jobs with minimal supervision, from blueprint to finished product. Qualifications: Ability to lift 50 lbs. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong basic math and measuring skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings. Excellent communication skills. Team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Mechanical abilities and experience with general power tools and equipment. Motivation to learn and advance in your role. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Valid driver’s license. Willingness to work overtime (rarely required). Detail-oriented mindset. Benefits (Available After 60 Days): UPMC Gold Package Health Coverage (low deductible). Highmark Vision Insurance. Guardian Dental Insurance. Short‑Term Disability. Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Standard Holidays. Simple IRA Retirement Plan with 3% Matching. Employee Tool Buying Program. Why Join Us? Work with an industry leader in plastic fabrication. Be part of a supportive and collaborative team. Enjoy continuous learning and development opportunities. Competitive pay with great benefits. Opportunity to advance your career in a niche market. #J-18808-Ljbffr
