The Platform Engineer (Developer Enablement) acts as a senior technical contributor focused on accelerating software development through standardization, automation, and shared tooling. This role improves how developers write, structure, and maintain code—driving consistency, quality, and throughput across all teams. Operating between development, DevOps, QA, and architecture, the Platform Engineer defines and maintains internal frameworks, reusable components, and automated guardrails that enforce Tyndale’s engineering standards. HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. We’re a family-owned business providing a retail-style apparel experience to hundreds of thousands of energy workers across the US and Canada. We’re the leading distributor of innovative FRC solutions, and the largest industrial supplier of Carhartt FR, Ariat FR, and Wrangler FR clothing. Responsibilities Framework and Tooling Development Design and maintain internal libraries, NuGet packages, and reusable UI components for consistent logging, error handling, validation, and security. Code Quality and Standards Enforcement Define and enforce coding, naming, and validation standards through SonarQube rules, lint configurations, and automated pipeline gates. Partner with the Production Control Lead to align service standards and release readiness checks with coding guardrails. Establish patterns for consistent exception handling, structured logging, and telemetry across systems. Developer Experience and Productivity Build internal tools and automation that improve daily developer efficiency (template creation, dependency scanning, project setup). Create documentation and onboarding materials to promote the “golden path” for new services. Participate in and review cross-cutting code to ensure adherence to architectural and quality standards. Collaboration and Mentorship Serve as a coach and technical mentor to developers, promoting shared learning and consistent implementation practices. Work with DevOps, QA, and architecture to ensure cross-team compatibility and efficient delivery. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years focused on frameworks, tooling, or developer productivity.
