This position collaborates with engineering, production, and maintenance to design and implement manufacturing processes and process control systems. It conducts analytical investigations, analyzes equipment and procedures to improve product consistency and machine performance. The role provides machine controls and software support for manufacturing operations, optimizing machine controls and performance. Additionally, it works closely with maintenance, offering troubleshooting skills, training, and handling wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment installations and repairs.

Additionally, it works closely with maintenance, offering troubleshooting skills, training, and handling wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment installations and repairs.
Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities Of Job
- Responsible for all electrical equipment, including machines and building electrical systems (e.g., lighting) at our client's facility.
- Designs electrical equipment, components, and systems for industrial purposes (10%).
- Develops applications for controls and systems in new industrial contexts (25%).
- Ensures that manufacturing, installation, and operation of equipment conform to functional specifications (25%).
- Installs electrical equipment (5%).
- Maintains electrical equipment (5%).
- Programs and troubleshoots PLC programs (30%).
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
- Proficiency with various software packages and the ability to learn new software.
- 5 years of PLC programming experience required.
- Experience with Siemens Simatic Step 7 (200/300/1200 series PLCs) with HMI controls and Allen Bradley programming is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to lead short-term projects to completion with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
- 5 years of industrial electrical work experience, including motors and controls.
- Certified electrician preferred.
- Experience using various electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, ampere probe, etc.).
- Understanding of European electrical schematics and setup is a plus.
The physical demands of this job include:
- Regularly using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; and talking or hearing.
- Frequent standing and sitting.
- Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment involves:
- Regular exposure to the risk of electrical shock.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
- A moderate noise level in the work environment.
