Plc Programmer Industrial Automation Apply
About the Role:
We are looking for a versatile and experienced PLC Programmer with a strong foundation in industrial automation and IIoT, along with specialized experience in marine energy systems and safety controllers. This role involves programming, integration, and commissioning of PLC systems across industrial and marine environments, including fuel cell integration with vessel power and energy management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs from Siemens (S7-1500, S7-1200, TIA Portal), Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure), Mitsubishi, and ABB, Rockwell Automation Marine Systems, Kongsberg Maritime Automation, ICMS Platform
- Develop logic using STL, Ladder Logic, and FBD.
- Configure and maintain Safety PLCs (e.g., Siemens S7-1500F, B&R, Pilz).
- Support fuel cell integration with marine PMS/EMS systems.
- Work with SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT).
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and shipyard teams for installation, commissioning, and integration testing.
- Conduct FAT/SAT, on-site debugging, and validation of control systems.
- Ensure compliance with marine safety standards and classification society requirements (e.g., DNV, ABS).
- Document development, modifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in automation, IIoT, and green marine technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation.
- 8 10 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- At least 5 years of experience with Safety PLCs and marine automation systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial protocols and IIoT integration.
- Experience in on-site commissioning, vendor coordination, and system integration.
- Familiarity with marine communication protocols (e.g., CAN, NMEA 2000) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CODESYS and IEC 61131-3 programming.
- Exposure to hybrid or zero-emission vessel projects.
- Ability to work in shipyard environments and travel as needed.
