Overview Insight Global is looking for a highly skilled PL/SQL Developer with hands-on experience building database-driven functionality to join a financial client in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on designing and implementing business logic at the database layer, working with Oracle 19c in a private cloud environment, supporting sub-ledger systems, and contributing to new feature development and reporting solutions. This is a developer-centric role, not a DBA position. The role requires a self-driven engineer who delivers clean, reliable, high-performance PL/SQL code with minimal supervision. This position is onsite in Charlotte, NC (3x on-site). Insight Global is committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments and is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. Qualified candidates will be considered regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status protected by applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement database-driven features using Oracle 19c in a private cloud environment. Deliver high-quality PL/SQL code, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with product and reporting teams to support sub-ledger systems and reporting solutions. Move beyond maintaining legacy code by delivering new development and feature enhancements. Work independently with minimal oversight while taking ownership of technical solutions. Participate in performance tuning and optimization of database objects (schemas, tables, indexing, constraints). Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot or similar) to improve productivity where appropriate. Adapt to a fast-moving environment with quick issue turnaround, ensuring timely delivery of features and fixes. Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on PL/SQL development experience (flexible for exceptional candidates). Strong expertise in Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, and SQL performance tuning. Proven experience delivering new development, not just maintaining legacy database code. Solid Oracle database development background (schemas, tables, indexing, constraints). Experience working in private cloud Oracle environments. Ability to design and implement solutions independently and deliver high-quality code with minimal oversight. Familiarity with using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity. Experience in fast-moving environments with quick issue turnaround, preferably with financial systems, sub-ledger architecture, or reporting platforms. Background in performance-heavy or mission-critical database environments. Experience modernizing or refactoring legacy PL/SQL codebases. #J-18808-Ljbffr
