JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform installations, renovations and major repairs on plumbing/water supply systems ensuring that assigned systems within an Adult Correction and support buildings are maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
This position is required to perform at the Journeyman level in the areas associated with plumbing installations, renovations and the repair of potable and wastewater drainage systems in existing buildings.
This position provides technical guidance and support to other staff members in the area of plumbing.
The candidate will be expected to supervise the work of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled inmate labor to assist with completing assigned tasks and provide support to other staff members in the area of plumbing renovation/installation or other duties assigned by the supervisor as deemed necessary.


This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) withnc.

About the Department of Adult Correction (DAC)
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws.
This department includes State Prisons, Correction Enterprises, the Division of Community Supervision and the Division of Rehabilitation & Reentry.
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed below, along with the Minimum Education and Experience requirements, are REQUIRED to qualify for this position.
