We are seeking an experienced PMO to oversee and drive the Project Management Office of the Secure Communications Division.This role is instrumental in shaping and executing the division’s project management strategy and ensuring alignment across a portfolio of high-impact projects.Responsibilities:Coordinate, Support and Implement PMO Activities: Support the development and implementation of PMO activities for the SCS.4 Division under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Sector. Collaborate with the Sector Manager to discuss and agree on PMO strategies, plans and initiatives, and implement them as directed, ensuring alignment with the division's strategic objectives and compliance with established policies and guidelines.Develop and Implement PMO Strategy: Discuss and implement the PMO strategy and roadmap, including governance, reporting, planning, project intake, demand, and supply management, in collaboration with the responsible manager.Tailor and apply project management methodologies (based on PM²), and oversee quality management across project phases and artefacts, ensuring compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.Chair and manage PMO-related meetings, including project status meetings, Steering Committees, and other relevant meetings, to ensure effective communication and decision-making.Ensure lifecycle tracking and forecasting across multiple projects.Digitalize and streamline project and PMO workflows through collaborative tools such as SharePoint.Support and oversee the delivery of work from all the Project Managers, ensuring effective risk, issue, and decision management, as well as quality in weekly reporting and artefacts based on PM² methodology.Participate in and prepare management plans required at Division level, including project plans, resource plans, and other relevant plans, in collaboration with the responsible manager.Identify areas for process improvement and propose changes to the PMO manager to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the PMO function.Foster effective relationships with stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and team members, to ensure their needs are met and expectations are managed.Prepare and maintain PMO-related documents, including project plans, reports, and meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.Oversee the quality of project deliverables, ensuring they meet the required standards and are compliant with established quality management processes.Skills & Qualifications :Master’s degree + Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in defence, government or financial organisations (Project management office, quality assurance)Minimum 3 years of experience in information system securityMSP certification, Prince 2 certification, PMP, ITIL, CMMI (nice to have)Certification in security field (e.g. CompTIA Security + or CISSP or CISM or CISA or GSEC) (nice to have)START DATE: ASAP (1st April if possible)LENGTH: Contract until 31 Mar 2027 (renewable)LOCATION: Onsite, Brussels, Belgium - limited work from home possible.
