Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Research & Analysis: Conduct research on disclosure laws, regulations, policies, and precedents to determine the appropriateness of releasing requested information. Analyze and interpret regulations, case decisions, and policies to support decision-making.
- Documentation & Reporting: Draft memoranda for policy-related determinations, appeals, and recommendations. Prepare weekly progress reports on cases and other relevant activities.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice on the implementation of organizational policies and practices. Develop recommendations based on policy analysis to support organizational goals and improve processes.
- Meeting Participation: Attend and contribute to meetings, workshops, and seminars on policy topics. Summarize proceedings and assist with implementing discussion outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in public policy, governmental affairs, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Ability to draft policy briefs, memoranda, and official correspondences
- Experience in analyzing data and preparing reports
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word
