Job Listing for the position of:
Pool Attendant/Lifeguard
PART TIME
Opening Shift Availability; Shifts starting at 5:30am
$11.00 - $14.00 hourly
The Mission Valley Aquatics & Fitness vision is to provide a state-of-the-art facility that enhances the health, fitness, safety, recreation and quality of life for all in the Mission Valley.
Primary responsibilities and duties of pool attendant/lifeguard may include but are not limited to:
Promote safety for patrons and staff of Mission Valley Aquatics & Fitness
Maintain and clean pool, deck, and public locker rooms
Clean, organize and maintain lifeguard room
Cleaning of party room after use
Assist with special aquatic events
Test and record pool chemistry and temperature
Report all issues with facility, other staff or members to Manager or Director
Employee must have understanding of:
- An adequate understanding of pool chemistry and cleaning after the training period
- Mission Valley Aquatics & Fitness policies and procedures including emergency protocols
Employee must have skills including:
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Outgoing and positive attitude
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and general public
- Ability to enforce safety protocols to the patrons without hesitation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have, or be working on, a high school diploma
- Knowledge of pool equipment and the operation of aquatic facilities or a willingness to learn these skills
- Lifeguard certification or the willingness to get certified
- CPR, AED and First Aid Certification or the willingness to get certified
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
