Our client, Mitsubishi HC Capital America , is seeking an AVP, Portfolio Manager to help power their Technology Finance portfolio operations. HYBRID: 3 days/week in Worthington, OH As an AVP, Portfolio Manager, you will manage the financial and operational flow of assigned VAR customer portfolios. You’ll oversee daily cash activity, prepare and analyze reporting, support compliance requirements, and act as a key liaison with clients, Vice Presidents, and internal teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Support day‑to‑day financial and operational management of assigned VAR portfolios. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including fee calculations, interest income, margin analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform account reconciliations and financial analyses; investigate and resolve variances and discrepancies. Monitor and maintain AR aging, credit limits, Notices of Assignment, and related compliance requirements. Assist with cash application, vendor payments, APA purchase activity, and general transaction processing. Prepare journal entries and support month‑end close activities in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies. Maintain accurate and complete customer credit files and portfolio documentation. Respond to internal and external audit requests and support regulatory and compliance reviews. Participate in cross‑training, process improvement initiatives, and ad‑hoc projects. Ensure monthly financial reporting is completed accurately and by the first business day following month‑end. Complete account reconciliations by established deadlines. Ensure timely resolution of portfolio discrepancies and inquiries. Adapt to shifting client needs throughout the day and manage priorities independently. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, portfolio management, or commercial finance operations Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (debits/credits, reconciliations, journal entries) Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial/accounting systems (Workday experience a plus) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to work directly with clients professionally. Mature, reliable, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Ability to handle detailed, process‑heavy work with accuracy and tight deadlines. CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Compensation $75,000 – $85,000; based on experience. This role is also eligible for a year‑end bonus.
