We have an opening for a full-time, permanent Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Architect to join our talented, dynamic team in support of a large Federal Government customer.

This position will support the Department of Veterans Affairs by providing technical and programmatic support services to include development, maintenance, enterprise architecture, and administrative engineering support.
Duties
As a Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) Architect supporting Maveris programs, you will be trusted to lead the delivery of a Federal Agency’s Enterprise Security Architecture and Strategy. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Provide thought leadership for new techniques and design patterns related to Enterprise Security Architecture within the domain of PQC.
- Ensure that the Enterprise Security Architecture, framework, and strategy across the enterprise remains consistent with and supports the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and other federal mandates.
- Integrate security best practices into automated systems and processes, ensuring they are resilient against evolving cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop architectures that scale, optimize, and protect automation workflows.
- Design, analyze, and deploy secure cryptographic systems that are resilient to attacks from both classical and quantum computers.
- Design secure and efficient PQC protocols and key exchange mechanisms.
- Develop cryptographic primitives and algorithms that are resistant to quantum attacks.
- Integrate PQC solutions into existing cryptographic systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough security assessments of PQC systems, identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities and threats and perform cryptographic analysis and cryptanalysis of PQC schemes.
- Mentor and guide junior security professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of security principles, concepts, and best practices
- Strong understanding of classical cryptography and number theory
- In-depth knowledge of PQC algorithms and protocols including lattice-based, code-based, multivariate, and hash-based cryptography
- Experience with cryptographic primitives, key exchange, and digital signatures
- Expertise in cryptographic primitives like digital signatures, key exchange, and encryption is essential
- Experience with security frameworks and methodologies (NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001)
- Hands-on experience with Zero Trust security models
