Key Responsibilities:
Poultry Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Source poultry products, including whole birds and specific cuts, from top processors, brokers, and suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure high-quality products at optimal pricing.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain changes to inform purchasing decisions.
- Strategically leverage competitor resources and collaborative partnerships to meet demand during challenging market conditions.
Market Strategy & Sales Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to creatively address surplus inventory and market challenges.
- Work with the sales team to develop competitive pricing strategies that drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Stay informed on industry trends and customer demands to identify innovative growth opportunities.
Operational Leadership
- Lead all poultry sourcing initiatives and act as the central decision-maker for procurement strategies.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on inventory levels, pricing, and market conditions.
- Ensure smooth operations by addressing urgent needs and implementing efficient supply chain practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in poultry procurement, including sourcing from leading suppliers like Tyson or Pilgrim’s.
- Comprehensive knowledge of poultry supply chains, market trends, product specs, and shelf-life requirements.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
