The client is seeking an experienced Power Apps and .NET Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications that improve statewide transportation operations and internal agency workflows. This role combines low-code Power Platform development with traditional .NET application engineering, system integration, and ongoing support of mission-critical state systems.
Responsibilities:
Power Apps / Power Platform Development
Design, build, and maintain Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Apps portals/pages to support SHA business processes.
Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate approvals, notifications, and system integrations.
Create and optimize Dataverse tables, business rules, forms, and security roles.
Develop Power Fx formulas, validations, and custom logic.
Build custom connectors for integrating external or legacy systems.
Ensure strong UI/UX design principles for state user populations.
.NET / Application Development
Design, develop, and maintain applications using ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core, and SQL Server.
Create and maintain RESTful APIs used by Power Apps or other SHA systems.
Develop server-side logic, services, and integrations with third-party and legacy applications.
Implement role-based access controls and follow state security and compliance standards.
Refactor existing SHA applications to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
System Integration & Support
Integrate Power Platform solutions with SHA systems, including SharePoint Online, SQL Server, Azure services, and GIS systems (if applicable).
Troubleshoot issues across Power Apps, APIs, and .NET applications.
Manage application lifecycle, versioning, deployment pipelines, and environment governance.
Work collaboratively with SHA business units, analysts, and infrastructure teams.
Documentation & Governance
Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data models, SOPs, and deployment guides.
Follow SHA's IT governance, security, and data standards.
Participate in code reviews, Power Platform governance, and team knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
12 years of software development experience with a mix of Power Platform and .NET technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Strong experience with Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
Proficiency with Power Automate, connectors, Dataverse, and Power Fx.
Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and modern development frameworks.
Experience working with Microsoft Azure services, including Logic Apps, App Services, and Azure AD.
Strong SQL skills with SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS.
Experience integrating applications via APIs, REST endpoints, and enterprise data sources.
